Today marks the 40th anniversary of Earth Day, and it also marks the 40th anniversary of local architecture firm BNIM, which is world-renowned as a leader in sustainable design. Each year on Earth Day, the American Institute of Architects Committee on the Environment (AIA/COTE) presents worthy companies with the Top Ten Green Projects Award. This year, The Omega Center for Sustainable Living in Rhinebeck, New York, received one of these awards, and BNIM was the architect on the project. It’s certainly an honor to be awarded for sustainable design excellence, which BNIM knows since this is its sixth project to take home that award.
Happy Earth Day, everyone!
