Yes, please. Summer’s the perfect time (minus the 100-degree heat) to enjoy a nice glass of wine.
Somerset Ridge Vineyard & Winery, established in 2001 in Miami County, is taking advantage of the season with numerous activities in its vineyard. The biggest to-do right now is the Somerset Wine Trail. Somerset Ridge partnered with new local vineyards Nighthawk Winery and Middle Creek Winery to showcase all three wineries’ dedication to growing delicious grapes in the area’s limestone hills and making handcrafted local wines. All are open on Saturday and Sunday.

For a weekend getaway or much-needed day off, visit Somerset Ridge’s tasting room, open from open from 11 a.m.- 5 p.m. Wednesday-Saturday and noon – 5 p.m. on Sunday, and stop by to say hi to owners Dennis and Cindy Reynolds. You can check out a list of their fabulous grape varieties here. Also, find this wine at local retailers and restaurants, including Bonefish Grill, Blanc Burgers, Bluebird Bistro, Hereford House and Jaspers, among others.
